DATA CONSULTING
Data consulting to turn your company's information into decisions
We are a data consulting company based in Barcelona, working with businesses across Spain. We analyze how data is generated, stored and used in your company and define a data strategy that improves control, information quality and decision making.
What is data consulting and when do you need it?
We analyze your data to turn it into useful, reliable and actionable information
Data consulting means studying how data is generated, stored, organized and used within your company to find out what is not working and what can be put to better use.
The aim is to organize the information, improve data quality, identify the key sources and define a data strategy that makes it possible to build useful reports, dashboards and analysis. It is the starting point for any Business Intelligence project.
What we do in data consulting
Current data analysis
We review what data your company holds, where it is stored, how it is used and what problems there are in managing it.
Roadmap
We define a roadmap to organize, connect and prepare your data with clear, business-focused criteria.
BI and reporting base
We prepare the information so you can build dashboards in Power BI or another data visualization tool, with indicators and analysis that help you make better decisions.
Signs you need data consulting
Everything lives in spreadsheets
Each department keeps its own, with its own criteria and versions. It works until someone asks for a figure for the business as a whole.
The same KPI gives different figures
Depending on who calculates it, you get one number or another, because nobody has agreed what goes in and what does not. Meetings are spent arguing about which figure is right.
Systems that don't talk to each other
Information spread across the ERP, the CRM and separate tools, with no connection between them. Cross-checking data means exporting and pasting by hand.
Nobody knows which source is right
When two systems say different things, there is no agreed rule about which one prevails. It is decided case by case, depending on who is in the room.
None of these situations is solved by a new tool. They are solved earlier, by sorting out what data there is, where it comes from and what each piece means. That is what data consulting does, and it is the foundation of any Business Intelligence project.
What data consulting brings you
Reliable, consistent data
It improves the quality, organization and consistency of your information so you work with clearer, more dependable data.
Decisions based on data, not gut feeling
It turns your company’s data into useful indicators to analyze results, spot trends and make better-informed decisions.
A single source of truth
It brings scattered data sources together and prepares a common base to consult, compare and analyze business information.
Ready for dashboards
It gets your company ready to build dashboards, reports and Business Intelligence systems tailored to your goals.
What our data consulting includes
An assessment designed for decision making
At the end of the data consulting work you know what information your company has, where it is, what state it is in and what needs to be done with it. It is not a report to file away: it is the basis for deciding the next step, whether that is a dashboard, an integration between systems or putting things in order first.
Data first, then the tool.
We analyze the data in your ERP, your CRM, your online store and your spreadsheets, whether you work with Odoo, Dynamics 365 or another system. With that foundation, your Business Intelligence project starts with reliable data and clear criteria.
And if you want to go further later on, the same foundation lets you apply predictive analytics and artificial intelligence to your data.
Sources
A map of where each piece of data lives: which system generates it, who uses it, how often it is updated and which reports depend on it, all in one place.
Quality
We review the state of each source: whether the data is complete, whether it matches across systems and whether it can be trusted when making decisions.
Metrics
A common rule for calculating each indicator, so sales, finance and management always talk about the same figure in every meeting.
Roadmap
What to do first and in what order: organize, connect systems, implement data governance or build dashboards in Power BI or another data visualization tool.
How we approach data consulting
Systems review
Together we review which systems and spreadsheets your company uses, what data each one holds and who uses it.
Data assessment
We check the state of each source and find where information is duplicated or contradicts itself across systems.
Criteria and KPIs
We agree with you how each indicator is calculated, so the whole company always works with the same figure.
Action plan
We propose the priorities and support you in the next step, such as building dashboards in Power BI or another data visualization tool.
What your organization gains by organizing its data

It brings together information from different areas, tools and systems for a clearer, fuller view of your company.

Frequently asked questions about data consulting
What is data consulting?
It is a service that analyzes how a company’s data is generated, stored and used in order to organize it, improve its quality and define a data strategy. The result is a reliable foundation for building dashboards, reports and analysis to support decision making.
What if all my data is in Excel?
It is the most common starting point, and it is not a problem. Spreadsheets contain valid information; what is missing is a common set of criteria and a structure that allows them to be cross-referenced. Part of the work is precisely understanding what is in them, what can be reused and what is better moved elsewhere.
Do my systems need to be connected before we start?
No. If they were, this phase would probably not be needed. We work with your systems as they are: we identify where each piece of data lives, how it is generated and how often it is updated, and from there we decide with you what is worth connecting and in what order.
What do I get at the end of the data consulting work?
A map of your data sources, the state of each one, the criteria for the indicators that matter and a roadmap showing what to do first. With that, you can decide with confidence whether the next step is a dashboard, an integration between systems or putting things in order first.
What does the length of the assessment depend on?
On the size of your company and how many systems are involved. It is a well-defined phase: the aim is to understand the situation, not to solve it. What matters is that, at the end, you know exactly what data you have, what state it is in and what is needed to make the most of it.
What is the difference between data consulting and Business Intelligence consulting?
Data consulting is the preliminary phase: it organizes the information and defines the data strategy. Business Intelligence consulting covers the whole project, from that assessment to the dashboards, training your team and maintaining the reports.
How is it different from data governance?
They go hand in hand and in practice are worked on together. Data consulting is the assessment: what there is, where it is and what state it is in. Data governance is what remains afterwards: who is responsible for each piece of data, which quality criteria apply and how all of that is maintained over time.
Do I need Power BI or another tool?
No. Data consulting focuses on the data, not the tool. When it is time to visualize it, we mainly work with Power BI, as a Microsoft partner, and also with Looker, Tableau, Qlik, Metabase or the tools you already use.
Can you work with data from Odoo or Dynamics 365?
Yes. We analyze the data in your ERP, whether it is Odoo, Dynamics 365 or another system, together with your CRM, online store and spreadsheets. We also implement Odoo and Dynamics 365, so we know well how they store information.
What happens after the assessment?
With the roadmap, you decide the next step. We can take care of building the dashboards, implementing data governance, training your team to use them and maintaining and evolving the reports.
Does it help prepare AI or predictive analytics projects?
Yes. Predictive models and artificial intelligence need reliable, well-structured data. Data consulting prepares that foundation so you can then move on to business analytics and predictive analysis.
Do you work with companies across Spain?
Yes. We are based in Barcelona and work with companies across Spain.
